Ok, so it’s Show Season & you’re thinking; “Where do I find Shows?”

By now you’re thinking; “That’s it, I’m going to a show!  But some advice on attending shows would be great!”

Ok, so January – March is “Wedding Booking Season”, so where and how do I start booking?

Booking Season is also referred to as “Wedding Show Season” or the old-school term “Bridal Show Season”… it’s an “old school” term because lots of happy & in love individuals plan weddings…not just “Brides”  

This time of year is called “Wedding Show Season”  because you can pretty much find & attend a Wedding Show nearly every day of the week (if you had the energy!).   Wedding Shows are A GREAT WAY to begin the search and get a feel for most Wedding services!   Most Wedding Shows in the NJ area are often FREE TO ATTEND (awesome right?) and will offer a variety of DJs and Bands, Photographers, Videographers, Limousine, Invitation, Bridal Shops, Favors, Florists … and more!

Most all shows will also feature performance segments, from a Band and/or DJ Company, to showcase just a bit of their entertainment services.  Though you’ll find several Band & DJs to talk with at Wedding Shows, not every one of them will have a performance segment… and many times it’s not necessary because true knowledge, passion, professionalism, energy & enthusiasm are all quite obvious from the very first conversation with some entertainment professionals! :-)

Shows can be held an an expo hall, or most commonly in our area, are held at Wedding venues that provide a bit more of a show experience and are typically smaller in size than an Expo Hall show.

If the show is held at a venue, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy a cash bar, possibly sample food from their menu,  and even view that venue as an option for your Wedding!!   At some shows, you may even get to see a Dress/Formal Wear Fashion Show AND even win some door prizes from Wedding services or even a vacation!!!!   (The idea of sampling great food and possibly winning a honeymoon vacation are usually great reasons to get grooms to attend

Engagement Season

Holiday time is also the beginning of Engagement Season!   Though Engagement Season continues on to Valentine’s Day, a large number of couples will scream with excitement, “YES, I WILL!” when the question is popped Thanksgiving through New Years Eve!

And just when we’ve rung in the New Year…Wedding Booking Season waits for us just around the corner!  (It’s also referred to as Wedding Show or Bridal Show Season…more on that later)

Wedding Booking Season:  January – March!!

 

I know, you’re thinking; “But what does this mean?”

 

Come January, all the newly engaged couples are out of the gate and running… and fast!  Any remaining dates for 2019 will disappear with couples looking to avoid a long engagement (or those who got sidetracked in their planning) … AND THE PLUS SIDE: Those “just around the corner” dates usually accompany special discounts too.    Couples wishing to have more time to plan, will tend to reserve most of the prime dates for the following year, 2020.  Prime Wedding Dates in the Wedding Season traditionally are Saturday nights from April – October, with most Friday dates running a close 2nd!

 

Availability with most key wedding services will change rather quickly during Wedding Booking Season as couples scoop up available dates!    January – March is the BUSIEST 3 months of the year for reserving most anything Wedding related…especially the key services;  Venue, Entertainment, Photo, Video…and pretty much in that order.   The best way to ensure you get what you’re looking for is to get out there and start looking…and even booking!

This question is many times answered with; “We’re sorry, your date is no longer available.”   Why?   Because it’s Wedding Booking Season!!

Wedding Booking Season starts with January & goes strong through March!!  And this is when most newly engaged couples…and couples who put planning on hold over the holidays… are booking all their services!

Don’t be alarmed though, we’re going to help with info & tips on how to navigate through Wedding Booking Season so you get exactly the dates & services you want…before somebody else does!  :-).
